Baseball fan? Head out to Dell Diamond and see the Round Rock Express! They’re the AAA team for the Texas Rangers. The stadium is beautiful and easily accessed from Austin via I-35 or the 45 toll. Tickets are usually less than $15 (unless you spring for a fancy suite).
Besides taking photos, my favorite part of sporting events is the food. At Dell Diamond, I stumbled upon the greatest piece of ballpark food I’ve ever seen: a hotdog wrapped in a grilled cheese. And it came with curly fries. BAM.
It happened to be Nolan Ryan bobble head night, when we went – awesome! The kicker? The photo I took of my bobble head won Twitter Photo of the Game! They showed it on the big screen and everything. Pretty cool.
