Hiking Georgetown Lake

Earlier this spring, Brian and I hiked near Lake Georgetown. Ideally, we would love to hike and camp the 26 miles around the lake. We’re starting small though 🙂 Our hike was kept short because of flooding! Our trail was totally flooded and we couldn’t even see to the other side of the water to cross it. Even with that obstacle forcing us to turn around, we made it 4.6 miles.

We parked at the San Gabriel River Trailhead and headed out from there. Along the way, we saw some awesome lake views, lots of great flowers, and a snake!
