Rocky Mountain National Park

This post doesn’t need a lot of explanation – Brian and I took a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We hiked over 10 miles, saw six lakes, and camped. It was incredible and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.

I don’t often post full screen photos (because no one needs to see a full screen photo of my cup of coffee) but these photos require it.

After hiking more than 12 miles, we FINALLY made it back to our campsite. We were so exhausted, I was honestly just thinking of sleeping in the car – there was no way we could set everything up! But we did, and once we got some food in us, we felt much, much better.

On our way out of town, we stopped to get a National Park Passport. It’s very cool – you can get stamps and stickers from visitors centers at various national parks and historic landmarks.

Before the loooooong drive home, we also stopped for a quick Starbucks. The Starbucks in Estes Park is beautiful! It has a huge back patio that backs up agains a creek.
