The Gristmill in Gruene, TX

Summer time calls for day trips! I took my parents to Gruene for the day to explore the cute little town. The highlight of our day, obviously, was eating at the Gristmill. The huge restaurant is built inside an old gristmill. Their outdoor seating near the Guadalupe River is just amazing. The serve moderately priced American food. My recommendation is to get the onion ring appetizer plate. You’ve never seen onion rings so big in your life!

While waiting for our table, I played around with my favorite Photojojo macro lens.

When you’re done eating a delicious meal, walk it off by exploring Gruene’s historic downtown. It’s full of antiques, outdoor decor, and various other mom and pop shops and bed and breakfasts.
