Roaring Fork

For my mom’s birthday this year, we went to the Roaring Fork. We visited their north location, off Braker Lane. I must say, I was very impressed. The restaurant sits on Quarry Lake, which offers some wonderful views, both from inside the restaurant and outside on the patio. The Roaring Fork is a great place to go when you need something nice, but don’t want to totally empty your pockets. We went for dinner and entrees ranged from about $18-25 dollars. Sides are separate (which I didn’t really like, but most fancy places do that), but can certainly be shared with others. I got a the pork shoulder tacos with a side of green chile mac and cheese. The tacos were very impressive – I was served a huge portion of pork shoulder that I could shred and put into the tacos myself.

Also pictured below is the half chicken meal, and the fried avocado and crab appetizer. I was very impressed with all the food. While the green chile mac and cheese was super creamy and delicious, what I liked most was that it was served in a cast iron caldron. Loved it!
