During my last trip to San Antonio, we visited a cool little spot called “The Pearl.” It’s basically a hip little shopping area/neighborhood that was built out of the old Pearl Brewery. There’s a GORGEOUS hotel called Hotel Emma located in the same area. It’s definitely on my bucket list of places to stay. It bumps right up agains the river.
Also bordering the river is La Gloria. If you haven’t seen my post about this fantastic restaurant, you can view it here. These are some photos of the river just beyond La Gloria’s outdoor patio seating.
While walking around The Pearl, we stopped at two places – Local Coffee and Lick Honest Ice Cream. Local Coffee is a super cute coffee shop that was packed when we went in. We had some great pastries from Bakery Lorraine (right next door) to go with our lattes.
While the little macaroons were tasty, we were ready for some real dessert, so we walked over to Lick Honest Ice Cream. Lick has stores in Austin, too. It’s been on my Austin list for months, so I was happy to finally try some in San Antonio.
