Kula Revolving Sushi Bar

A super fun new restaurant just opened up in Austin – Kula Revolving Sushi Bar. It’s a restaurant that serves sushi via conveyor belt.

There is one conveyor belt that carries small plates around from person to person. They are all $2.25. So, you sit and watch all the amazing food go by and when you see something you like, you grab it off the belt! If you saw something go by but didn’t grab it in time, you can use the touch screen at your table to order it. There’s a separate, top conveyor belt that delivers special orders to your table. In addition to sushi, they have various ramen and desserts. Your time eating is also gamified. There’s a plate collection shoot at your table. When you deposit 5 plates, your touch screen plays a short anime clip! When you deposit 15 plates, you get a little prize from a toy capsule vending machine above your table.

All the sushi we are was delicious. Ryan also got some miso ramen which he loved. Another great surprise was their green tea. It’s actual matcha! The powered might settle a little in the bottom, but you can easily mix it back up.

If you’re looking for a new dining experience, I highly recommend Kula Sushi.
