Austin Eats Round-Up (ed. 8)

I often photograph my food, but sometimes I don’t have enough photos or content to make individual posts. So here’s the round-up of my latest Austin eats. In the last month or so, I’ve been to a couple of particularly cool places. Links to all the locations are included in the post. Previous editions can be found here: Austin Eats Round-Up

Salty Sow has been a pretty good find. They have a delicious dinner menu. I ordered the pot roast and it came with a egg on top! It was excellent. I’ve also been for happy hour. They have a lot of cool, fun drinks and nice tacos. Of course, they also have duck fat fries. If you’re looking for a nice happy hour place or a good date night dinner spot, I highly recommend Salty Sow.

Dogwood is a staple at the Domain Northside’s Rock Rose. My recommendation – sit on the roof patio, order their pulled pork tacos, fried pickles, and a cheap happy hour beer.

If you do visit Dogwood, make the walk down to Sprinkles. Because cupcakes. Actually, my favorite dessert from there is a cookie! They make a chocolate chip, peanut butter, pretzel cookie that is out of this world.

Had a tough week? Combine your happy hour with ice cream at Prohibition Creamery! They make some delicious ice cream concoctions with alcohol. I ordered the chocolate whiskey shake and MMMM. The troubles from my week melted away.

Thanks for reading! I’m always looking for new places to visit! If you know of a really cool spot in Austin that I haven’t featured already, hit me up on Instagram @discoveringATX!
