I often photograph my food, but sometimes I don’t have enough photos or content to make individual posts. So here’s the round-up of my latest Austin eats. While at the South Lamar Food Truck Park tasting French Tex Cuisine, I ran over to JeonJu Korean Grill. They’re providing a “unique and modern twist on traditional Korean food.” I ordered this delicious pajeon pizza, which is a green onion crust topped with mozzarella, JeonJu Sauce, plus your choice of protein. In addition to pizzas, they have rolls and bowls. All very delicious and insta-worthy 🙂 Note about this food truck – it felt very affordable to me! This large pizza was only $7!
Happy hour last week was at El Chile. I’m shocked I haven’t blogged about El Chile before! It’s certainly worthy of it’s own post. I guess when I go to El Chile, I’m usually with a group so I don’t take time to set up photos. This Tex-Mex restaurant off of Manor is super popular with the after work, happy hour crews, so for sure make a reservation if you know how many will be joining you. The space isn’t very large, especially if you have a preference to sit inside. Pictured below is the sangria margarita, for sure my go-to El Chile drink.
I’ve already blogged about Halcyon’s newest Mueller location, but I recently made another stop in after meeting my parents for dinner. Loved the latte art I got this time 🙂
Flower Child is the latest Domain NORTHSIDE restaurant I’ve tried. I had their hummus, green tea, and avocado toast. It was a super solid lunch. Their hummus was incredibly good! The only downside was the wait. I went on a Saturday during Christmas break, and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Also, I had trouble figuring out who was waiting our table. You order food at a counter, then they give you a number and table and bring your food out to you when it’s ready. However, if you need something after getting your food, it’s a little tricky to hunt down a server.
Dock and Roll. Perhaps THE best food truck in Austin. I’ve talked about them here in their own post, here in Round-Up 6, here in Round-Up 5, here in my Midway Food Park post, and here with Celia Jacobs Cheesecake Experience. Even in the photos below, the first photo is from their Midway location (which will be changing, since the Midway, sadly, is no more), and the second one is from their truck at The Picnic. Guys, these lobster rolls are pricey for sure, but I have NEVER regretted getting one and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I may have a problem…
