Dinner at Eastside

Eastside (formerly Eastside Tavern) has the perfect, low-key vibes for those after work dinners and happy hours. They have a small parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking in the neighborhoods just north of Cesar Chavez.

This was a hosted visit, so my food and drinks were complementary (thanks Eastside)! However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The first thing I noticed was their extensive cocktail menu. It’s front and back and has tons of awesome options that range from $11-$14 dollars. I’ve heard great things about their frosé, but I couldn’t turn down the Lalo-Palooza. It’s got GLITTER in it, along with Lala Tequila, sparkling butterfly pea flower, Jarritos soda, grapefruit, and lime. We also sampled some cute layered shots – a lemon drop with blackberry syrup. Yum!

The menu is pretty well rounded as well. Shareable options range from ceviche to smoked wings to fried pickles and more! For entrees, they have burgers, chicken sandwiches, tacos and more tasty options. I went with the Slammin’ Tacos and chose salmon as my protein. They’re served on flour tortillas, with pineapple slaw, chili habanero, avocado crema, mint and cilantro. Delicious! I also loved the little side of chips and quest, but I wish their tortilla chips had more salt on them.

For desert, they have a rotating selection of cheesecake from Austintatious. This week, they had blueberry and it was soooo good. Don’t skip dessert!

Their brunch menu also looked pretty tasty. I gotta go back for that! Have you been to Eastside before? Maybe back when it was Eastside Tavern?
