So many good spots, so little time. The Cedar Park/Leander area has been growing so much over the last few years. If you’re new to the area – welcome! Next time you feel like grabbing a drink, you don’t need to drive all the way in to Austin. Odds are, there’s a friendly neighborhood hangout waiting for you just down the street.

La Dosis Coffee + Cocktails
300 W Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, Texas 78613
Keep your eyes on this spot, everyone! Theyโre still putting in improvements and expansions (especially in their outdoor space). Itโs the perfect all day hang spot in Cedar Park. Open at 7am, theyโre perfect for coffee and breakfast sandwiches or tacos. Come with your computer, enjoy some food and drinks while you work! The outdoor space has a play area for kids and plenty of space for leashed dogs. Open until 9 or 10pm, come after work for happy hour cocktails or late night munchies! Iโve been a few times and Iโm just SO glad we have a spot like La Dosis in Cedar Park. Side Note: Rumor has it Besame is opening another truck here. I cannot wait for that!!

Night Owl
203 N Brushy St, Leander, TX 78641
Night Owl is an adorable cocktail lounge situated inside a small house in Old Town Leander. The wood panes, velvet chairs, and counter desk lamps all come together to give a nice homey vibe. The cocktails here are excellent. If I’m wanting a cocktail, specifically, I’m heading to Night Owl. Iโm personally a big fan of owls, so the murals by @sarahjblankenship.art really speak to me. Just off the porch is a large outdoor space with lightly covered picnic tables, and a HUGE TV. It’s a perfect spot for kids and dogs to run around!

Obsidian Brewery
11880 Hero Way W Suite 208, Leander, TX 78641
The vibes at Obsidian Brewery are perfection. The spot is super chill – industrial interior with lots of hanging plants and greenery – making it the perfect place to hang out with friends and family. I was really looking forward to trying their beers, so I didnโt even think about cocktails, but Obsidian has a surprisingly excellent cocktail menu! Iโm talking Sazeracs, Negronis, Boulevardiers, and more. Iโll be back for sure to try it.
All the beers we tried were great, but my favorites were the Hero Way Hefe (the street theyโre located on in Leander) and the Kokuyoseki Japanese style rice lager. Theyโve also got a pretty good food menu with pizzas and various apps. We got the pepperoni pizza and devoured it. Iโm so pumped for high quality local places like this to be opening in Leander!
Also, service at Obsidian Brewery is always a 10/10. The hospitality here is unmatched!

RedHorn Brewery and Roasters
1615 Scottsdale Dr. Blg 1, Ste. 110, Leander, TX, 78641 // 13010 W Parmer Ln. #800, Cedar Park, TX, 78613
RedHorn is probably the spot I visit the most. Itโs open from morning til night, serving up delicious coffee, exceptional food, and tasty beer. For me, it’s a steak quesadilla, side of chips and queso, with a cold Todo el Dia. So good. During the day, the large tables, beautiful interior, and friendly staff make it the perfect place to work from home.

Whitestone Brewery
401 E Whitestone Blvd., #500, Cedar Park, TX 78613 // 15390 W State Hwy 29, Building 2 & 3, Liberty Hill, TX 78642
Whitestone Brewery is now firmly established in their new Whitestone Blvd. location – a co-space with 600 Degree Pizza. Honestly, a match made in heaven if you ask me. 600 Degree Pizza is so delicious and it pairs perfectly with an ice cold Long Gone Blonde. If Iโm wanting pizza, Iโm hitting up this collaboration. They also have a pretty large outdoor covered patio space, complete with kids play area!

Fieldhouse at The Crossover
1717 Scottsdale Dr Suite 160, Leander, TX 78641
The Fieldhouse is a whole vibe. The Crossover is a massive sports complex, with everything from a hockey rink to a full gym. If youโre more like me though – the concession stand visiting, cold beer drinking kind of sports fan – then the Fieldhouse is where youโll hang out. They have beach volleyball, kickball courts, fire pits, food trucksโฆ theyโve got it all. They even show movies on their lawn! Quite a fun spot. They also added Crossover Eats, which is a small onsite kitchen menu.

The Good Lot
2500 W New Hope Dr, Cedar Park, TX, 78613
The Good Lot is a family-friendly beer garden with a variety of craft beer and ciders, as well as wine, seltzers and domestics – 24 taps in total. They have a large open-air covered space, big screen TV (we went during a UT game – it was packed!), and a large yard space with tables, beautiful turf, trees for shade, yard games, and a play area for kids. Of course, the more dogs the merrier. The food trucks at The Good Lot are also top notch.

5th Element
100 E Evans St, Leander, TX 78641
โDrink Local, Drink Leander.โ You have no idea how long Iโve been waiting to do just that. The more Leander grows, the more cool little local spots like 5th Element Brewing are popping up and it makes me so happy. They opened last summer, but I finally made my way in earlier this week! I was immediately greeted, given samples, and made to feel welcome. I felt totally comfortable leaving my computer and beer at my table while I went outside to get food.
Sit inside their small house (comfy environment, great outlets and tables for working) or sit at one of their outdoor tables with your pup when the weather is nice! Theyโve got a pretty large lot with ample space. Donโt be shy – ask for samples of their beers and find something you like.

Leanderthal Distilling
11894 Hero Way W A, Leander, TX 78641
Leanderthal Distilling is distilling up their own spirits right here in Leander! Their bourbon is technically distilled in Tennessee, then barreled and aged at their Leander location. Everything else, though – TexAgave, Leanderthal Vodka, Triple Secession Orange Liqueur, coffee liqueur, Whit’s Leander Dry Gin, and MORE – is all created locally. That is so cool!
They have a great tap room where you can bring in your own food. The bartender, Matthew, was super nice. He gave us a tasting of their products since it was our first time and make sure we knew that if we ordered a drink we didn’t like, he would make us a new one. Co-owner Scott also make the rounds to say hello. Everyone was so nice and I had a GREAT time sitting on the patio, sipping on delicious drinks. Consider me a regular.

Leander Beer Market
106 W Willis St, Leander, TX 78641
Leander Beer Market will be celebrating 10 years in Old Town Leander this fall. Incredible! This no-frills pub has a small beer menu, unique cocktails, and a full pub food menu. They’ve got a few indoor tables and lots of outdoor space. This is the perfect space when you just need a quick, simple place to grab a brew. Also, their fried pickles are delicious!

The Brewtique
401 Cypress Creek Road, #100, Cedar Park, TX 78613
is a craft beer bottle shop specializing in local, regional, and national craft beers. Itโs my favorite spot to stock my beer fridge. You can mix and match your own six-pack to take home or you can pay a small $2 โpop a topโ fee and drink the beers on-site. They have tables inside and outside where you can chill. Their inventory of 150 rotating beers is constantly changing, so youโll never get bored.

Rabbit Hole – Leander
2082 N US Hwy 183 ste 145, Leander, TX 78641
This steampunk Rabbit Hole is a fun addition to the growing Leander bar scene. Theyโve got plenty of bunny-themed cocktails to choose from – frozen, margaritas, and โRH Exclusivesโ. We tried the Bugโs Old Fashioned, the Leander Rocks-Rita, and the Beach Wabbit. My favorite of the three was the Leander Rocks-Rita. Iโm not a big margarita drinker because theyโre usually too sweet, but this one wasnโt! And it certainly packed a punch, if you know what I mean.

Rabbit Hole – Cedar Park
13920 Ronald Reagan Boulevard STE 202, Cedar Park, Texas 78641
Rabbit Hole opened a second location in Cedar Park and Iโm loving it. The OG in Leander is good, but the vibes of the Cedar Park one areโฆ different somehow. Even better, in my opinion.

Five Four Restaurant and Drafthouse (54th Street)
1320 E New Hope Dr., Cedar Park TX, 78613
54th Street (“Five Four”? I’m honestly not sure. Are they trying to do a name change?) has finally opened in Cedar Park! It’s BUMPIN’ on the weekend, but during the week, the vibe is pretty chill. The staff has always been amazing, the food is bomb, and with 54 beers on tap, you’re sure to find something you like.
The outdoor space at this location is wonderful. There are huge garage doors that open up to provide and indoor/outdoor space, along with VR Golf, pickle bar courts, and huge bar area.

The Brass Tap
15181 Ronald Reagan Blvd, Leander, TX 78641
Brass Tap is my go-to spot when I want to chill and have a beer. Itโs got relaxed, easy vibes, plenty of parking, good food selection, and good beers. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside at the many tables or at their cool outdoor patio bar space. Itโs definitely a neighborhood spot.
