Barton Springs Pool

Finally visited an Austin staple: Barton Springs Pool. It’s a natural pool that’s just outside downtown Austin. The water is FREEZING cold, but you get used to it after a bit. It only costs a couple bucks to get in and swim. It’s open May through October, so keep this in mind once the cold sets in and you start daydreaming of that Texas summer weather again.

There is plenty of space to layout a towel and tan up! The only downfall is that there’s no food allowed. I actually had a small bag of snacks that I started eating sneakily and a lifeguard quickly told me to put it away. So no food! This is also where you catch the Zilker Park train. I’m sure you’ve seen it going around the park. It’s absolutely worth the ride.

Brian has an underwater camera! We had a blast with that 🙂
